First thoughts

Hello, guitar players! I am talking about my books and app here at my website, and receiving insights and requests from you, the users. Please note that the books (Learning Guitar with Hymns of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and Other Favorites, Beginning Folk and Learning Guitar with Hymns of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and Other Favorites, Beginning Classical are ONLY available at present from AMAZON.COM. So don't use the Cart to try to buy them as yet.

The books come from my long experience teaching guitar at BYU-Idaho. I wanted to teach guitar using songs the students already knew (hymns and primary songs of the church). Reasons why: 1) when students know the song and can sing it, it accelerates the learning process, because their minds don't have to learn the song, allowing them to focus on learning the guitar; 2) Hymns and primary songs bring the Spirit into our lives.

The app version will be out within about a month from now. I am doing alpha/beta testing with my students. It will be available first for android on the Google Play store, then after that on the Apple App store.

I have been working on the videos for the app for over a year. They closely mirror what and how I teach at BYU-Idaho.
